Over a stone gone!

Went to do some shopping and stuff, and decided to go to Boots and see if the scales were working. They were so I got weighed.

What a surprise I got. Since the last weigh-in on 27 June, I’ve lost 10 lbs. That’s nearly a stone and a half gone!

Mum told me that my bum is getting smaller and it doesn’t wobble as much!

New camera

Had to get a new camera the other day. I tripped UP the stairs and the camera went flying. Ended up in a million pieces.

Got in and called the insurance company. They told me to go ahead and get a new one and they’ll send me a cheque.:)

Did a bit of research in the internet and decided on a Canon S2 IS. 5 megapixel, 12 x optical zoom and 4 times digital. The IS is for Image Stabilisation. Fab! Super macro means I can take pics as close as 1cm.

I passed!!

Got an email today telling me I had passed my Advanced ECDL Database exam I took a few weeks ago. Yippee!

Have to admit that it was a resit. I failed the first go.

Now I need to do the Advanced Powerpoint sometime next week. Once I’ve passed, I’ll be an ECDL Expert and I’ll be able to become an associate of the British Computer Society and put letters after my name. What a scream!

Off out now. It’s a friends 60th birthday and we’re going out for a meal.

Harry Potter

Just got back form Smith’s with my new Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Some people will call me sad, but I don’t care. There were several hundred others like me queuing for it to go on sale.

Some were denying being there to buy the book. They were just there with friends who were. Oh Please!

Any way, I’ve got my copy and I’m going to start reading it.

New log book

Over the last few weeks, you may have noticed the ads from the DVLA about the new log book. I had a look at the website.

It said that the new logbook request would be generated by using the V11 reminder last year.

This got me to thinking; I didn’t get one last year, didn’t get one this year. Would I get the new form? Call them up and ask. Hah!

The number on the website told you to call another number. This number had a message saying all 220 operators are busy, please call back. What’s wrong with the old fasioned engaged tone?
